Almost There My Love

Ever been in a race where you put it on yourself to keep moving until you get to the finish line?

When your legs are done and your lungs are burning, you keep moving because stopping feels worse than going slow.
You stop running for speed and start running for proof.
Proof that you said you'd finish, so you will.

Yeah, that's a perfect description.
Almost there...at least for this journey

A mother in labor doesn’t run. She pushes.
Her body is screaming to stop, but she keeps going because she knows what’s on the other side of the pain. She’s not pushing for speed. She’s pushing for life. For the moment she gets to hold what she’s been carrying.

Pain now, joy in a little while.
And stopping mid-push isn’t an option, because that would mean staying in the pain forever.

So she breathes, she bears down, and she pushes till it’s over.

That’s you right now.
You’re not running for speed anymore. You’re pushing through because you know something wonderful is waiting on the other side of this journey.

Almost there.
